Laukosargas Svarog made SL history a month or so ago, running the first Annual garden competition in SL. This was based upon real-life English garden shows in which each contestant gets a plot of land to develop, over the course of a few days, to make a garden. There are several famous shows in England in early summer, the most famous of which is Chelsea Flower Show, shortly followed by the Hampton Court garden show.
Following the competition (modestly prevents me from telling you who won) Luakosargas closed the Svarga sim to develop it, and as Akela reports, has opened it to much acclaim elsewhere, as an ecosystem in SL.
I visited it with Oclee, and found echoes of Myst and other unusual ecosystems in the new build.
The terraforming is dark and spattered with ammonites, and unusual plant growths proliferate. There are some unusual structures around the sim, and it all has a dark and interesting look, except for some golden spires and roofs on the central build. These somehow looked out of place... too clean and light for the surrounding darkness.
There's a lot to explore, although it isn't obvious how the ecosystem thing works, there are plant spores flying off plants, and it is a sim which will richly reward exploration. I am not going to spoil the surprises ... go see it for yourself.
