The Particle Laboratory is the place for anyone who wishes to have a better understanding of particles in SL. Take the transport from the ground below, up to the well-laid-out laboratory which was created by Jospy Pendragon, and if heights are a problem, try not to look down as you travel.
I have to admit that I have been here half a dozen times, and while I have always learned a little more, and come away with a ton of free notecards and demos, my particle scripts are a matter of hit and miss. I seem to have a bit of a blind spot about it.
A great deal of work and effort has gone into the Particle Laboratory, and it is worth seeing even if you don't plan to be the next firework king.
