Friday night real-life company gone virtual, American Apparel will be hosting a bash featuring a new look, new stuff, drunken butterflies, and all kinds of other good stuff.
Now, full disclosure ... I built it. WAIT COME BACK! I have more to say!
I hope my involvement doesn't close readers minds from absorbing my unofficial opinion about American Apparel's continued presence in Second Life. I think they are really playing it smart by stay interactive. Companies hoping to plunk their logo on a patch of land in Second Life may be disappointed in the results of their passive involvement. AA, on the other hand has been very active in the community, extending lines of communications to protesters, and expressing POV on the various SL blogs.
American Apparel's message to the Second Life community seems clear, "We are interested in who you are and what you are doing!" The question will be, is SL interested in AA? Well if for nothing else, at least come to see drunk butterflies.

1. Very nicely done.
