1. I noticed this too tonight :(. If he was planning to leave I wish I'd at least been able to say bye to him. He did so many incredible things in SL...it's hard to imagine him not being part of it anymore. I now have to take my Starax teapot out and sulk in it.

2. ??? This is some truly sad news. I have never met Starax but I think that he is one of the most amazingly creative people in SL. Every one of his creations is an example of high quality craftmanship. His sculptures are like encapsulated anatomy lessons and the Wand is THE coolest thing on the grid. I can only hope that this is just some sort of temporary withdrawal and not a permanent departure.

3. If you hadn't posted I would have done, Aimee. There is talk on the forums of no-one being irreplaceable, and the wand not being that difficult to replicate. Anyone who has seen it knows THAT ain't true.

I didn't know Starax personally at all, but I am a big fan of his work, and having tried to build sculptures myself I know how good he is.

The wand is amazing, hope he returns with a different avatar.

4. From a reliable source, Starax did not leave because of the bug. In fact, bugs have broken and re-broken the wand several times in the past, so it's not like some monumental event. Starax is doing more Real Life things.

5. well, that's a relief... but that still doesn't explain the "unpersonification" that he seems to have undergone. (that was a reference to Newspeak BTW)

And also, is the wand transferrable? I've been trying to get a hold of it for a long long time, and can't seem to find a source that won't disappear while i make my money.
