I always hoped my work here would become influential, but who knew just how much destructive power I really had! Metaverse roadmapper, Prokofy Neva has just announced on his blog, Second Thoughts, that AOL's Second Life Insider and specifically ME, Aimee Weber, is to blame for an influx of unsavory characters into the Second Life platform. According to Mr. Neva:
"That sense of entitlement is so rampant in this current wave of new people. and i have only three little letters to explain this: AOL. And I have only one source for AOL to explain this: Aimee Weber - her AOL-sponsored blog has brought in DROVES of these people who have given themselves their same numbered names as AOL."
Prokofy has yet to offer any tangible connection between ME and the number-named kids who, according to Prokofy, believe Second Life was constructed for them to try to "break and destroy." It's also unclear if he holds the other fine bloggers here at Second Life Insider equally responsible, or if it's all about teh Aimee. As a part of my hard-hitting reporting, I fabricated the following interview with a number-named AOL kid:
Aimee Weber: So tell me, did I or anybody from Second Life Insider influence your decision to join Second Life?
M4D_Hax00rz_420: A/S/L?
Aimee Weber: Uh, Could you just answer the question?
M4D_Hax00rz_420: Bored. RU Bored? What RU wearing?
Aimee Weber: What do you have to say about Prokofy Neva's claim that *I* am personally responsible for the influx of destructive kids into the Second Life platform?
M4D_Hax00rz_420: LOLZ Proks is a a n00b. Can I borrow 10L? I will pay you back on tues? KTHX.
Aimee Weber: So you disagree with this assertion?
M4D_Hax00rz_420: I wanna give U an accertion. Lets netsex.
Aimee Weber: OK, fine! *puts on her robe and wizard hat*
There you have it folks. What you have, I have NO idea.

21. That's a great point, Orlie. If I'm to "blame" for an influx of AOL users, can I also take credit for them?
Maybe Prok can give me some estimates as to how many people we are are talking about so I can include them on my resume :D
