7. Just to be clear I didn't mean to insult Anche at all. I also don't want to take anything away from her, anything she has done, or any coverage she has had. Honestly I don't know her and wouldn't be able to make a very informed insult about her. I was trying to make the point that I just like seeing more diverse coverage of Second Life.

8. When I noticed Second Life for the first time about a year ago, I knew it was going to be big one day. Unfortunately my laptop couldn't handle Second Life at the time but I'm glad I'm finally on board as Second Life is without any doubt the future. Once Linden Lab implements Mono, they'll be unstoppable! And damned - when am I going to be in Wired magazine? Maybe I need to start running around naked?!

Geez, that's lame. Anshe *is* great. Has done far more for LL's bottom line and for the world than Aimee "My Name is Like a Prom Queen" Weber. This sort of unnecessary comment lets us know how Master Penguin is fulfilling his role in the major spotlight for SL on the web, covering the news in an AOL-sponsored blog. Bleh.

What I love is how fake Catherine Linden is. She claims to be putting all the media opportunities up on the Second Life website and even in a group for the purpose, so that there is "equal opportunity".

But a huge, major media story comes along like this, and she doesn't part with it. She holds it close. AND she pitches her old gal pal Aimee *yet again*. Did she also pitch the banned ones too? One would hope NOT?! That may have come in turn from Aimee...or from just a Wired reporter doing a little bit of unspinning from the spin cycle on their own.

Unless...we're supposed to believe this entire story happened without Catherine Linden? Not.

It's got one of the most encompassing pictures of Second Life that has been put to print, from its history, economy, politics, cultural life, and festivals. This is not one of those "haha, look at this geeks having virtual sex dressed as squirrels" pieces. And it's written by several of our own (Hamlet, Walker....)

Speaking of Midnight City, there is also a great photo of Midnight City's central plaza where you can see Torrid's and Catherine Omega's store clearly in the background.

Honestly there were a lot of great photos. I really liked the article, but then I'm not opposed to SMUT! Sexuality is a very real component of Second Life. It's a good thing. :D

16. Aimee seemed nice enbough the times I've met her, and I like the places I've seen her build. Alas I do not have a gal-alt, so have not tried on her clothing lines, but they don't look badly photosourced to me. These kind of vague attacks always tell me more about petty jealousy in the game than the quality of one person's work.

I have never rented/bought property from Anshe, so I don't know much about her. The whole land buying/rental business is not something that much interested me, to be honest. Well-made builds are interesting to read about, so I will have to swing buy and pick up a copy of Wired I guess.
