I've not had the opportunity to try out Google's SketchUp, a 3D modeler. Apparently it integrates quite well with Google Earth, the RL geography presentation tool. In fact, the two work so well together that pundits have been making noises that SL ought to be concerned. Personally, I don't see the threat; SL is, and has always been, much more than the attempt to create virtual models of RL locations.Regardless, Roo Reynolds at Eightbar has taken the dialogue a step further, and coded up a way to get the 3D information from SketchUp into SL.
