The message for all those affected by the missing inventory bug, is to check your lost and found over the next week or so. According to a post by Phoenix Linden, the bug has been indentified and solved, and the items that were swiped in error will be turning up in the Lost and Found folder over the course of the next week.
This applies to new objects bought in a specific period from October 11 and October 17. If you have a problem with anything old, or things bought before that date this may not solve your problem.
