Summer Budget Travel Tips from Gadling

More Virtual Charity

The infamous Joshua Nightshade recently announced on Second Citizen that he is using his powers for good rather than evil. Long story short, he will be donating 100% of his sales from Abstract from October 31st to November 23rd to the AIDS Research Alliance and Marine Toys for Tots. He will also be donating double the proceeds for select items.

One interesting touch is that Joshua will not write this donation off on his taxes. Joshua states, "So I won't make any profit nor benefit off of this whatsoever." Of course this sacrifice doesn't help the aforementioned charitable funds in any way. But given the sometimes bitter and suspicious nature of the Second Life social fabric, philanthropy actually requires proactive damage control!!

Ooooh, what a telling quote about SLers. Let's say it again...Second Life philanthropy actually requires proactive damage control.

Anyways, best of luck in this wonderful effort, Joshua.
