Ever wish Second Life had a manual? You know, a real, actual manual that explained lots of stuff?"Second Life - The Official Guide" is a paperback book and CD which is intended to be that manual. It's authored by Michael Rymaszewski, Wagner James Au, Mark Wallace, Catherine Winters, Cory Ondrejka, and Benjamin Batstone-Cunningham, with a host of contributions from Second Life residents, and a foreword by Philip Rosedale.
The book has just recently hit the shelves, courtesy of the publisher, Sybex. You can order your copy through Amazon, or the outlet of your choice.

1. Is it jsut me or should this be a free download from teh Second Life website, or at least as a PDF linkd to in the distro? You have to pya to learn about the application you just downloaded? Or is it anotehr tiny slice of income on the side while the million new unverified accounts do *not* put a strain onthe servers and bandwidth?
