Mark Wallace at 3pointD.com reports that the DVD release of the A Scanner Darkly movie will be celebrated in SL on Dec. 18th, from 6 - 10 PM, SLT. It's not entirely clear who's hosting the event, though it will take place in the Infinite Mind sim, which seems wonderfully appropriate.
I've not seen the movie, nor read the book, though of course as a good geek I've consumed Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? If any place is better equipped to host a Philip K. Dick event than SL, I've not seen it. I mean, just look at that still from the movie: avatar, anyone? I can't make it to this, but if one of you does, drop us a line and let us know how it went!
