I've spent a lot of time lately not buying a Nintendo Wii. Not because I don't want one, but because I stand in these really long lines and when I get to the front of them the people there tell me, "Sorry we just ran out of Wiis," and I go home and cry. However, I was able to snag a Wii Controller or WiiMote as all the ultra hip trendy people call them, which as it turns out is also hard to find, but in the absence of a Wii it really wasn't doing me much good, but it sure is pretty.
Luckily my WiiMote (Ha ha, I am ultra hip and trendy) did not go unused for long. The WiiMote is a Bluetooth device and as such can be connected to any PC with Bluetooth. Thanks to the fine people over at WiiLi.org, the WiiMote can be used much like any mouse. Thus, much like any mouse, the WiiMote can be used in Second Life. On top of that it work quite well. Actually it is only really cool in first person view, but you can map PgUp and PgDn to keys for flying; move your avatar using the D-Pad (that little plus sign shaped controller); and even look around with the pointing capability of the WiiMote.

1. That's so awesome! I have been wondering if people have been using other input devices with SL other than a keyboard (Joysticks?).
