SL is getting its own House of Representatives, in which residents can meet to discuss policy changes and possibly even speak with actual politicians. 2. Please SL is big enough to have 2 sims that can only hold 100 avs max to not in anyway make me feel oppresed by RL American politics.
Hell my own dutch politicians where inworld i hardly noticed a thing of it. Really don't worry about.
Btw, the sims are Capitoll Hill 1 and 2. I couldn't tp to them yesterday though when i tried, but could see them on the map.

3. This is a rogue body. It is not an elected House of Representatives -- it is not elected or chosen by any RL or even RL constituency.
It's like the fellow who plunked "The Supreme Court of the United States" down in Second Life and opened up a talk shop saying he was going to empower citizens to discuss their disputes blah blah. Justice Soothsayer was his name -- and he now rightly belongs in Neufreistadt with other sectarians playing at government -- they represent only themselves, and not even that some days.
In the same way this ego-driven "House of Representatives" represents only a PR-driven member of Congress and some cronies somewhere in the metaverse biz. They aren't convening any actual session of Congress or hearing or anything under law -- and calling it that is silly.
It's not a House, and does not Represent a thing.
This is what it represents:
"John Gage of Sun Microsystems [who] has enlisted the services of Clear Ink to build the House"
Shame on them for inflicting undemocratic politics on RL and SL with this gambit.

4. Well, politics, fine. If people want them, they should have them, in SL as well.
However, why start with the Americano-centric form of a political body? SL is an international place, so if it should be done, model it on an international congregation instead. Or is it yet another "playground" without any real ambitions or visions?
I must agree with Prokofy Neva. The current idea represents nothing.

1. Great a bunch of damn California Democrats in SL telling us who we should vote for. I think this is a very BAD idea. There are people in SL who are not from Californa and many not from the US. There's no room for political figures from RL in SL. Keep them OUT.
