This is a true horror story. Nexxus Ambassador, creator of FurNation and all its associated concerns, posted an open letter to his constituents concerning a series of events beginning in the middle of December, with the fallout continuing to this day.A link to the open letter follows at the jump, but to summarize: Nexxus was contacted by a potential beneficiary, wishing to donate a sizeable sum to FurNation. After verifying for himself this person was legitimate, he accepted the donations and went to sleep that night thinking all was well. More after the jump.
Soon, however, disaster: his employees' accounts were being closed, his sims were under attack, and he was unable to log in to assess or try to fix the damage. LL, when he was able to finally get through on the phone, merely said that there was a fraud investigation in process.
He was never told how this happened, nor what, if anything, LL was planning on doing to pursue the perpetrator. At this time, although Nexxus' account has been restored, he is in the red to the tune of over one million Linden dollars, and is considering closing up shop.
Why did this happen, and how? Why is LL treating the victims like criminals? FurNation is one of the larger names in SL; if Nexxus decides to leave, there will be a gaping hole where a thriving community once existed in peace. Justice needs to be done here, and I fear it won't be.

1. Critical point here - how was the $L obtained? The account that donated the $L was 2 weeks old, yet managed to move over $10,000,000L. Can anyone say "Infinite money hack"? No wonder Linden Lab have nothing to say on the matter.
