2. It still has some kinds to work out it seems especially in distribution but it's definitely a cool idea. I tried out the sample and I'll be using it once it goes live.

You should edit your post though to clarify that this apparently has not gone live with real money payouts yet since atm you just get a gift.

3. The current (demo) version has a 90 second timer, with text explaining the finished product in place of adverts. After you let 90 seconds pass with the HUD open you get to claim a free hat, although you would probably never wear it again after trying it once.

The HUD itself is about 350 pixels wide and 400 pixels tall, so those of you with small screens might struggle. As far as I know you have to keep it open and visible (ie. Not minimsed) if you want to rack up time, but as long as you're not busy with anything in SL it shouldn't be a problem.

I can really see the appeal of this thing. Moochers like myself will get one for the 30L$ per half hour, and advertisers will jump on board due to the number of potential customers they would reach. What were 'camping chairs' again?

4. Yep, sorry, advertisers still needed to really start (but i wouldnt say this awesome wonder of design is "just a gift":)
p.s. i am wondering what the ape has to do with "ad the hud", but the pic makes me smile :)

6. The original AdHUD network has been up and running, paying users real money for over two months - see http://adhud.com for more information. It has many more features than "Ad the HUD", offering a much better value proposition for both users and advertisers.

As for your product's name Martin - "Ad the HUD"? It doesn't make much sense to me. Are you attempting to create confusion between the original AdHUD and "Ad the HUD"?
