Well, at least it's not ... well, you know what. At approximately 5AM SLT today, the 'Plush' sims of the Dreamlands continent (owned and operated by Anshe Chung Studios Ltd) were hit with a self-replicating object attack. The object (owned by Shoop Dabu) was modeled after the February 2007 edition of Wired Magazine, and had physics enabled and a low quantity of thrust applied. They spread out, replicating through the Dreamland Plush sims shouting Web2.0 buzzwords (all in caps) to anyone within 100 metres. (eg: YOUTUBE, FLICKR, WIKI, METAVERSE, AVATAR, RUBY ON RAILS, and so forth)
A number of sims crashed through general overload, but Linden Lab responded adroitly, and had the attack contained quickly thanks to the efforts of Chiyo, Data, George, Mick and Nicole. By 5:17AM -- a mere 17 minutes later -- the attack was halted, and cleanup all but complete. With every attack, the teamwork and tools available to Linden Lab to combat goo attacks seem to get additional refinement and response to them is more solid, decisive and effective.

1. Is this the first gray goo attack to target a private continent, rather than the main ones?
