Gadling's resident pilot explains what life in the cockpit is like

Two and a Half Virtual Men

Okay, Akela is out of hibernation and catching up with Tateru's unbelievable post run! Thanks for waiting, Internet! Although, having said that, I'll probably suddenly hit writer's block tomorrow. Regardless, this came to my attention from a bunch of separate residents, so thanks everyone!

The CBS network show 'Two and a Half Men' has developed a commercial using SL graphics. Jon Cryer and Charlie Sheen look pretty good as avatars! Whether that says something positive or negative about them as humans is beyond the scope of this post. However, it's a slickly produced spot, and worth viewing, though it's notable that in the commercial Cryer says 'the virtual world', rather than 'Second Life'.This does bring up a more interesting question: Will this be the beginning of a whole set of 'virtually impossible to miss' programming spots? Is this spot promoting an episode in which the cast gets into 'the virtual world', or is it simply a one-off deal, which is more intriguing? If it's a one-off, then CBS seems to be taking its role in SL pretty seriously, as evidenced by earlier posts here and here.

Upon second viewing, I noticed the pink tiger Furry in the background. Nice.
