Telehubs are of the past. For many of you it's prehistory in fact. But I'm going to change the use of some land that I've worked on from an age before the demise of telehubs, and it's got me reminiscing.
When I first started working with my partner on this land it was a nightmare to get to: The nearest telehub was over 1km away and you couldn't travel in a straight line because the watery sims around the area were actually void, uncrossable rather than a "void sim" which is empty ocean. It was a good 5 minute trek to get there, assuming all the sim crossings were smooth and you could get there without crashing and having to try again.
I was, and still am, all in favour of the change to p2p teleporting, despite the predicted woes that the doomsayers predicted. Now, if I set out on a journey other than by p2p tp it's because I choose to fly, skate, drive whatever to get there, and much more enjoyable for that.
So, here's askin': Do you miss telehubs? If you remember them do you ever go and do the sightseeing thing? If you don't remember them, do you ever just fly/drive/sail whatever around just for fun and sightseeing?

1. Oh yeah, I fly to explore. I've found some really neat stuff that way.
