With a fair degree of buzz in the blogosphere, including 3pointD Calvin Klein launched IN2U, a new fragrance for the "technosexual" - whatever a technosexual may be (I think I'm too old to be a technosexual perhaps). Part of the buzz for SL residents is the announcement of a L$1Million photography contest. Although I take pictures for SLI, I'm nowhere near good enough to win a prize, but I know a few excellent photographers and so passed the news along, as any friend would. Yesterday I got a plaintive IM asking "Where do you enter the contest? I might not win anyway, but no way to win if I can't enter!" This friend is a busy woman, so she gave up. A little later I heard the same from someone else, so I went to investigate.
The picture is their launch building in Avalon, nothing about how to enter the competition. Nothing anywhere in the whole of Avalon or Rivers Run Red that I could find, nor an increasing number of others. What is going on? CK are getting a lot of stick for their cynical naming and marketting of this product, is the contest another sign of that cynicism?
[Edited in light of the comment - I misunderstood the nature of the relationship between 3pointD and ESC. Sorry for any confusion caused.]

1. just a small correction: it's not "ESC's own 3pointD," Eloise, it's "ESC-sponsored." I can write whatever I want, about whomever I like, even if it's an ESC competitor.
