The latest update (1.15.0) is being applied to the Second Life grid right now. With a little luck the Second Life Grid will reopen at noon SLT (US Pacific). When it does, it will be a very different world indeed. One without Help Request, and without the Linden Lab ratings system.
Assuming the update is not aborted part way through, you will need a new viewer. You can either let the automatic downloader take care of it, or when the time comes you can point your favorite download manager at the correct link on this page, and have it downloaded in under a couple of minutes. Think about that.

1. I don't know how they broke it, but since the update I haven't been able to logon. I get mostly version manager unable to resolve version, with a sprinkling of unable to make a secure connection to server. I downloaded the new client ingame about 10:30 pst and thinking that it might be the problem I went ahead and downloaded and installed the client from the website. Neither works, even after rebooting after install. Has anyone else managed to get in yet?
