1. Yes it does, I was searching for land a week or two ago and because I hit the search button too fast it said my search was denied for searching to fast...I had to actually log out and log back in to be able to search again.

2. Searches being frozen if they happened too fast has been around for about a month. More of an inconvenience for humans, really.

As far as improper use of land sale searches - hard to say. While his search may look rather unobtrusive, it could be hammering the search every few seconds (enough time in between to avoid it being frozen). One person/bot doing that is not so bad, but is it ever more than one person?

3. Whatever it takes to stop the bots! I'll relog if I search too quickly. I'm GLAD TO DO IT to be rid of those damned land-bots.

4. From what I've heard, the "you are searching too fast" limiting is done in the client, so it doesn't affect search bots anyway.

5. Hey news travels fast in the metaverse. I'm the owner of the site mentioned in this article. I was running one avatar only doing searches, and I was pulling down the whole for sale list in the mainland every 2 hours. This amounts to about 125 searches an hour. BTW the search speed throttle was introduced a while back and affected my automatic searches: I just had to put in a delay between searches to get around this. I'm in favour of Linden Labs action on this because I feel landbots are antisocial devices in general and this action will be very effective in eliminating them. However, I hope it can be arranged that my free service can be continued as many residents have benefitted from it. I've had no response as yet to my email sent Thursday to LL, but the more support I have the more likely they are to let me reopen.
