As I reported at the end of March Manchester, home of Corrie, Oasis and Manchester United is coming to Second Life. Yesterday it arrived.
I would love to bring you pictures from the sims themselves, but I can't get in to any of them: I get a "could not teleport" message when I try. You can see them on the map though, and a search for Manchester will quickly show you them. This appears to be specific to these sims, as I can get home, get to other locations etc. with no trouble. Hopefully they'll open soon and be well worth exploring.
1. good to know eloise. another factor in the manchester onslaught, while only an individual's creation, is Rudie Rickenbacker's Hacienda build. the hacienda was a [in]famous club in the eighties (since renovated to encompass more polite inhabitants). Rudie's gone to great lengths to duplicate the look and feel of the original Manchester landmark. it'll bring a tear to all manchester folk who remember the day. secondlife://choerom/248/104/700
