This past Saturday, the 19th of May, saw the first full day's coverage of an SL event by RL media: the Romanian Presidential Referendum, which broadcast from Rothbard to RL news station Antena, in 3 separate sessions.
This is an incredible thing to have happen to SL; to their credit, the news media took this event very seriously, with reporter Gabriela Peset stressing that SL is not a game, but a serious communication environment. The event was organized mostly by the efforts of Clement Rosher, who has gone above and beyond in making this event not only a success, but also a great way to introduce Romanians to the benefits of SL. Fantastic work, Clement!
