1. I consider myself nagged :) Yes, the proceedings of the workshop will be published at some point, the organisation did promise to do that as soon as they are able to collect all papers, presentations, slideshows, notes, etc. And then... it's translation time!

... although I totally agree with the first two, i disagree with the last 2.

"SL classes are much better than RL ones"

Although SL classes are great when it's a discussion class or seminar, and also great when the class is SL related (meaning you can do what you're learning about while you're in class, like building with prims), SL classes will always lack any hands-on related education.
For example: I think a RL class teaching how to design clothes with photoshop will always be more impactful than an SL class.

I have always found text-based learning is confusing. I don't think it levels the playing field. I think fast typers and fast readers will succeed, while slow typers trying to follow instructions in the class will get lost just trying to learn as well as keep up to the text and respond. Also, I don't see much difference between a text-based class, and a prewritten tutorial.
