Today in Second Life we had:
- 29,783 new signups bringing us to 6,770,226 signups total.
- A peak concurrency of 46,484 at 1:50PM, and a minimum concurrency of 24,193 at 12:36AM. Average concurrency for the day was 33,948. That's a new record and more than half of Everquest's peak concurrency at the height of its popularity.
- Around mid-afternoon approximately 90 minutes after peak, the grid stuttered and showed a number of asset-related issues with corresponding sluggishness with the login servers - so all is not yet smooth in the back-end.
- We learned that Dolltopia has closed, to widespread sadness.
