Today in Second Life we had:
- 27,394 new signups bringing us to 7,200,237 signups total.
- A peak concurrency of 44,896 at 1:53PM, and a minimum concurrency of 22,569 at 1:37AM. Average concurrency for the day was 33,096.
- The day was marred by asset and backbone problems which are as yet still unresolved.
- Linden lab had issues this-evening with a crashed login server that has refused to talk to anyone and continues to sulk.
- The concurrency data feeds were not reporting for a chunk of the evening but are back on the air as of about 11:30. The averages above may be affected.
- More problems with stipend payments this week.
- We released the 9th episode of our very own podcast, On The Inside, with cool and musical guest star Slim Warrior.
- Meta Linden released the metrics for Second Life for May 2007. We summarize the numbers.
- The grid is closing for an update in six hours, and will be back around noon, if all goes well.
- Everett Linden posted a useful and detailed description of what went wrong with Search last week, what was done and why. Tasty!
- Heretic Linden became Iridium Linden.
