Today in Second Life - Thursday 14 June, 2007.

The end of one day and the beginning of anotherToday in Second Life we had:
  • 28,070 new signups bringing us to 7,245,544 signups total.
  • A peak concurrency of 43,907 at 2:13PM, and a minimum concurrency of 23,098 at 12:48AM. Average concurrency for the day was 30,094.
  • Second Life's (third-party provided) support portal was down for four hours today. No explanation has been given at this time.
  • Starting approximately one hour before the support portal went off the air, the backbone or asset system (pick one, but the backbone was giving some trouble signals) began behaving badly. It's better, but still (as far as we know) an ongoing problem.
  • Teens on the Teen Grid are protesting sculpties.
  • Sari Saito observes that he and several others were double-billed this month, and wonders if the same has occured to others.
