From Virtual to Real -- A Powerful Call to Environmental Action
Second Chance Tree island is a great environmental education project that allows residents to explore a rainforest and do their part for the ecosystem by planting one of the trees that are endangered in real life. However, more than an educational exercise, Second Chance Trees now has an opportunity to influence reality through funding by American Express and the Members Project.
American Express will donate up to 5 millions US dollars to plant a real tree in one of the troubled rainforests around the world. This project was selected among the finalist 50 member-submitted proposals and now needs your help to make it through the new round on July 17th!
Here's what you can do:
If you are an American Express card holder, you can log in securely through their website and vote for the project titled "The Virtual Forest Project. 1 million trees. Easy."
If you don't have an American Express card, visit Second Chance Tree island and plant your own virtual tree in support of the environment.
