Tuesday, San Francisco witnessed multiple power outages that took several beloved web services offline for sporadic durations. Among the services affected were Craigslist, SixApart, Technorati, and of course, Linden Lab. While the exact cause of the outages turned out to be a transformer explosion, the grid seemed to stabilize around 5 PM PST.No word yet on any plans LL might take to prevent such occurrences from affecting SL in the future.

1. A power outage that takes out DNS servers and affects multiple services... that's preventable by LL how? This is clearly of a scope beyond LL's control.
