Today in Second Life we had:
- 23,408 new signups bringing us to 8,835,101 signups total.
- A peak concurrency of 45,795 at 2:13PM, and a minimum concurrency of 25,623 at 1:14AM. Median concurrency for the day was 35,328.
- The grid stumbled for a couple minutes at around 8pm today, but by the reports I've gotten ran relatively smoothly otherwise.
- Linden Lab have issued a short-notice dowtime announcement. It's only two hours (followed by rolling restarts), but by some of the vexed messages I've gotten, some of you obviously still remember Linden Lab's guarantee that Wednesday scheduled downtimes would be announced no later than Friday midnight to allow people to schedule.
- The Second Life Greeter program was finally dismantled today. Greeters who wish to continue as Second Life volunteers will need to go through the Second Life Mentor application process.
