Everyone can relax. Turns out the recent mystery surrounding this new 'Involvium' thing is merely a name change for Infinite Vision Media, the guys who teamed up with NBC to promote the 'America's Got Talent in Second Life' event. Now they'll be called Involve. I'm non-plussed.You can check out the latest issue of the Metaverse Messenger for the full story. But I have to say, in many ways this story has failed to live up to my wild fancies of what the whole thing meant. I had visions of some magical quest on the order of the His Dark Materials series, or even something darker, in the vein (so to speak) of the White Wolf World of Darkness collection of RPGs. But a simple name change for a media company? No offense, Involve, I'm sure you guys do nice work, but this was like diving down the rabbit hole to see how far it goes, only to end up jammed in a cramped space with half my torso still sticking out, kicking wildly.
(Thanks, mrtopf!)

1. There is more here than a marketing campaign for some company's name change. (perhaps you should check out the Second Life Record's analysis for a second opinion?)
