So, I'm logging in to Yahoo this morning, and I see out of the corner of my eye an avatar. Thinking it's an SL avatar, I click on the photo. I get taken to this. My first thought was 'Where's the love for SL?' One of the things that the mainstream press gets right about SL is that nearly everything's user-generated; that's one of SL's greatest strengths! So to trumpet this from The Sims 2 is kind of annoying to me. How many fashion shows have we had in SL? Many many. Do we get Yahoo coverage? Newp. I understand that the world is probably more familiar with The Sims 2 than it is with SL, but it would be nice to see the press show the creativity our residents express, instead of always focusing on its darker side.

1. EA paid for the coverage.
Why are you surprised?
