Depo Consulting just keeps the hits coming! This time around, they've announced that they will be hosting a content developers trade show from their business park. The aim of the show will be to help small- to medium-sized content creators connect with each other and possibly outside business developers who are interested in exploring the potential of marketing in a virtual space. From the press release: "Similar events would be expensive in the real world, if even possible at all, given the global distribution of talent and demand for services. We will here be providing the opportunity for real dialogue with and within the developer community, while also gaining an understanding on a deeper level of what abilities are available out there, which are not part of any bigger corporations but are freelance or even doing Second Life development on the side," says Peter Dunkley, Depo Consulting's founder.
The trade show will be open to everyone, and will take place October 19th, from 8 AM to 8 PM SL Time. Thanks for believing in SL, Depo!
(Thanks, Lucinda!)

1. No wonder MDCs still get business. You guys are chomping at the bit to pretend SL is a valid business platform!
Sorry if I sound synical but I've done enough "business" in SL to know it's a joke. I've made a decent amount of money off it, too. Nothing to live off of, but that's because it's a video game and I have a real job.
What people are trying to do is the equivalent of trying to start a Microsoft-caliber company in Afghanistan the week the US invaded. People are too eager to make this the new internet so they're forcing evolution and getting ahead of themselves.
