2. Quite possibly. Concurrency has started the evening slide now, however, just a bit later than usual. I'm not seeing serious load from logged in users. There may be extra load from the registration system - not everyone who registers tonight is going to log in tonight, or necessarily tomorrow - perhaps not until the weekend.

3. Reportedly, we're doing a lot better than CBS; their web stuff for the event is out completely. Little birdies have told me that signup records are being broken and that the most strain is being put on web services.

4. fwiw, the Ahern welcome area was/is swamped w noobs this evening. It was a sea of "Editing Appearance" for a while.

5. Yeah...for a variety of reasons, a lot of people are just going in through secondlife.com; either people who probably just googlled Second Life when it was mentioned, people who couldn't get in or didn't want to go in through the CBS portal.

6. Electric Sheep wanted the CSI:NY fans to download their new OnRez viewer before proceeding to an orientation. However the OnRez Viewer download server failed. So, thus far at least, no influx of newbies. In fact, the number of users inworld is less than usual.

A few oldbies, including me, managed to make it to the CSI:NY continent with the old viewer.

They did a nice job with the build, at least: it was stylish bit low lag and had some nice NYC details like hexagonal asphalt paving blocks.
