This is the fourth in a series of largely demographic interviews that will be conducted with established residents, to find out more about them and their involvement with Second Life, and to contrast the differences between their views and experiences and those of the newer residents. I met Maryjane at the Isabel Infohub, as I lay in wait for victims waited for cheerful and willing volunteers to emerge and answer my questions. Initially, I thought I'd scored a new resident to interview. Though Maryjane's age is listed in her profile as 19 days, in actuality she has much more experience than that in Second Life, due to time with a previous avatar.

I caught up with Rhia at a moment when she had had just enough time to find some nice freebies to wear, while still pretty much in her Second Life infancy. Like many new residents, she was keen to attend classes to enhance her Second Life experience, and was therefore checking out the information board at the Infohub in Isabel.

During the day today, many new residents leaving Orientation Islands for various mainland destination points would up at the infohub at sim Calleta. It's not presently known if the issue is still ongoing or if it has been fixed, but a large number of residents using given landmarks to leave Orientation Island instead would up at the Hobo camp in Calleta, regardless of the actual destination assigned to the landmark.

While the hobo community there are generally known for a strong streak of helpfulness, the Calleta infohub isn't exactly strongly equipped as a primary welcome area, and the influx of so many new people into a particular area can be quite disruptive.

Since the commencement of the problem, the sim has been completely full several times - it is not known where the hapless new residents are being routed to when that occurs, or if teleportation simply fails.
