Overnight Darklife, which runs in Navorra, was hacked and about US$400 of their material was stolen. Darklife, in case you're not sure, is an RPG which runs within SL, very crudely WoW in SL, although they don't claim that comparison for themselves.
They're quite sure it was a theft, the account that did this managed to call him/her/itself StealingCashFromDarkLife Allen. Mark Busch, the lead developer commented that the hacker probably used the bug from October when everything was sold full perms for a little while. They are obviously looking at upgrading their security and changing their systems, in the mean time they are still running, but by invitation only.
Thanks to Patchouli Woollahra for the tip!

Sim Luskwood's New year celebrations were marred by a goo attack (a self-replicating object) as seems to be unavoidable when you give otherwise sane, sensible people creation and drawing tools (Pictochat, Second Life or Dry-Erase markers) it's a penis. Who didn't see that coming?
